Ethyl Alcohol 200 Proof Pure – ACS/USP
Synonyms: Ethyl Alcohol Undenatured, Pure Ethanol, Pure Ethyl Alcohol, Pure EtOH
Product Description:
Pure Ethanol, or un-denatured ethanol, is a requirement for certain laboratory and manufacturing processes, particularly in pharmaceutical and medical industries. Pure ethanol does not contain chemical denaturants such as methanol, isopropyl alcohol, MIBK, or others, which would render the alcohol unfit for drinking. Because of this, pure ethanol is subject to high excise taxes unless appropriate permits are secured, whereas denatured ethanol is not subject to the high excise tax.
Our ACS/USP Ethyl Alcohol specification is set up to meet both the standards set by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the US Pharmacopeia (USP).
